Feelings: The language of our subconscious

11.03.2025

If you want to live an authentic life, show your feelings! Emotions create closeness and build trust. Feelings are closely linked to the subconscious – I would even go so far as to say that they are the actual language of the subconscious. The emergence of feelings in us is an arbitrary process that we cannot influence – and probably should not, because they draw our attention to things that our consciousness has not yet noticed. This makes our feelings highly sensitive antennae and messengers of intuition. What we do with them, how we express them and whether we let them control us, however, is very much connected to our consciousness and our will.

Feelings are colourful, vivid and powerful. While thoughts take place in our head, do not harm anyone and – as long as they remain thoughts – are ineffective, feelings are connected to our heart and thus are not just a game without consequences. They can take hold of our entire being. Is there anything stronger than the feeling of being in love? Is there anything more abysmal than mourning the loss of a loved one or one's home country? Is there anything more terrible than abysmal hatred? The nature of feelings is therefore not neutral, but very polarised: they are good or bad, constructive or destructive, helpful or harmful. They even have the power to manifest and to make us sick or healthy. Download Article about feelings: The language of our subconscious.
